My name is Jasmine and I’m excited to start this healthy journey with you all.
Toward the end of 2020, I became inspired to take control of my health. Through research, I discovered that I could make a lifestyle switch and combat conditions that run in my family by changing my diet. I learned about the dangers of overconsumption of meat/dairy and the benefits of eating a plant-based diet. As a Haitian-American, it was difficult to imagine not eating meat and other traditional dishes. However, I soon discovered ways to make tasty, plant-based meals while still keeping my Caribbean culture alive. Although I still eat animal-based products occasionally (I’m not vegan but I’m plant-based 90% of the time), I now understand the importance of a largely well balanced, nutritious diet.
My goal for this blog is to promote a healthy lifestyle where people are able to see the benefits of incorporating more fruits and vegetables into their diet in a fun, creative way. Hope you enjoy!
